Lecture  Title:	“Space Radiation: Health Risks and Mitigation Strategies”
	Learning Objectives: · Understand the types of radiation in the space environment and the effects of ionizing radiation · Learn about the evolution and health risks to astronaut crews during a solar particle event (SPE) · Learn about mitigation strategies - NASA Mission Control contingency procedures during a solar particle event · Gain an understanding of the health risks to long duration mission crews because of the radiation environment outside of low Earth orbit (LEO)
