SPACE-COT: Studying the Physiological and Anatomical Combined Effects of Carbon Dioxide and Tilt - A Ground Based Analog of the Space-Flight related Visual Impairment Intracranial Pressure Syndrome.


Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participants should be able to:
   * Describe the key findings of the VIIP syndrome
  * Understand the possible effects of fluid shifting and carbon dioxide on cerebral and ocular physiology
  * Describe novel non-invasive methods available for monitoring brain and eye health.


Target Audience, Needs, Educational Methods, and Activity Evaluation: Physicians, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals need to be updated about new advances in the clinical and research areas for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with neurological disorders. Educational methods will include lectures, case presentations, and questions & answer sessions.  Participants will be asked to complete an activity evaluation.
